"The album will be released in September and will have what we call a hyper-electronic sound. The songwriting will of course be in focus, as always. But the sound has been inspired this time by the trance music of the early 1990s and the early electro pop of the late 1980s. It will be a very varied album, with songs from 60 bpm up to 140 bpm!"

"(...) não acho que seja justo avaliar algo como os Deerhoof e os 4Taste utilizando os mesmos critérios. No caso dos 4Taste temos que pensar em qual é o objectivo da música deles, o que é que eles realmente querem da música. Primeiro temos que ter em conta que eles são uma banda fabricada pela telenovela. (...) a audiência para esta música é constituída essencialmente por jovens, na maior parte raparigas e tendo em conta isso acho que a música está muito bem feita para esse público. A música deles é extremamente catchy e lembro-me quando surgiu a nova temporada dos “Morangos com Açúcar” e a música do genérico era uma nova dos 4Taste, só a ouvi uma vez e fiquei a sabê-la logo de cor, sendo que é muito difícil escrever uma canção assim tão bem. Acho que o vocalista canta bem, está produzida de uma forma que faz sentido para a música. Isto sou eu a defender a minha escolha dos 4Taste como a minha banda preferida do momento. Basicamente acho que não é justo julgar tudo na mesma perspectiva."

"I think I'm always adopting a persona," she says. "That's how I look at pop music. I don't feel like I have to be myself. I feel like I have to be true to myself, but I don't have to show an exact picture of who I am."

(...) Her new record was intended as tribute to her inner teenager. "I had this picture in my mind of when I was 15 and I used to go on the subway with my Walkman on and listen to Biggie, and I used to feel like I was on top of the world. It made me feel really powerful and strong." She raises her fists and shadowboxes. "I wanted to get back to the original motivation for doing music: that pure thing you have when you're 15."
